Milne was an Irish poet involved in left-wing politics, a medical courier for the Spanish Medical Aid Committee during the Spanish Civil War.
The book is tightly bound, the blue cloth boards have faded patches on the spine, and less so on front and rear. The dust jacket is fully intact with only light shelf wear, the spine is faded. Internally the book is clean, free of markings and foxing.

Wynne-Tyson was an English author, publisher, Quaker, activist and pacifist, who founded Centaur Press in 1954. He ran Centaur Press from his home in Sussex and was a distinguished independent publisher. He authored books on animal rights and vegetarianism.
