From the Library of Harold & Mary Wilson. 3rd impression in a dust jacket. Inscribed on endpapers “For Mary Wilson with best wishes Walter Allen”.
Allen was a working class author and this is generally regarded as his best novel; he was a judge for the Man Booker Prize in 1976 with Mary Wilson. A nice association copy.
The book is tightly bound. Dust jacket is a little grubby, worn at the extremities, spine faded/sunned; unclipped. Top edge browned. Internally the book is clean, free of markings and foxing.
