The 1874 four volume facsimile of the 17th century original.
A uniform set in the original cloth backed boards with paper spine labels. The books are reasonably firmly bound, they are externally bumped, rubbed and stained with the cloth beginning to split. The text blocks are slightly foxed and toned with cracking at points, each bears the large and quite attractive bookplate of Harold Nickson to the front pastedown and each has some pencil notes to the rear blank.
A nicely executed nineteenth century facsimile, with red and black title page to volume one. Complete sets in the original bindings appear infrequently.
